Sky Tower

Sky Tower

The needle-like Sky Tower in Auckland is the city’s most visible landmark and, at 328 metres high, New Zealand’s tallest structure. On a clear day, the observation deck here—reachable by shooting up to the top of the building in a glass elevator—is the perfect place to get your camera out, with vistas spanning for 80 kilometres into the distance.

However, for many visitors to the Sky Tower, it’s about more than just the view. New Zealanders are known for turning tourist attractions into adrenaline rushes, and the Sky Tower is no exception. Visitors can walk the external 192-meter-high Sky Walk platform around the tower’s pergola for dizzying vistas, or base-jump off the platform on a Sky Jump for a comprehensive adrenaline thrill.

On-site amenities include a restaurant and gift shop, and be sure to see the tower at night when it is beautifully illuminated.
